Rhoer Club

What is the Rhoer Club?

The Rhoer Club is an affiliate organization of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority  Inc.,  originally founded in 1939, with the sole emphasis upon molding fine characters and the beautiful personalities of young women.  To this end, through its Rhoer Club, the sorority assumes the responsibility of encouraging and promoting high scholastic attainment, the development of leadership abilities and nurturing the individual talents of its Rhoer Club participants. Sigma provides a constructive and positive outlet for "little sisters" in our communities.

Sigma hopes to inspire these young women to heights of great attainment.  Membership into the Rhoer Club is open to all young ladies between the ages of 12-18, who are interested in education and who demonstrate a commitment to community service.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. believes that the youth of today are the future of tomorrow.  Therefore, the organization feels strongly about assisting and guiding young women to finer womanhood by preparing them to assume their destined leadership roles of tomorrow.

The Sorors of Theta Gamma Sigma Capital District Alumnae chapter provide scholastic guidance, community service opportunities and academic advice while promoting community, social, political and economic awareness.  As the mentors of the Rhoers, members of Theta Gamma Sigma wish to empower these young women to meet the challenges of today and be ready for those of tomorrow.
